Marina was born and raised in Squaw Valley and grew up enjoying many of the summer and winter sports that the Tahoe area has to offer. After sustaining a spinal cord injury in 1998, Marina came to Achieve Tahoe to learn how to monoski so that she could get back into the outdoors with her friends and family. After getting her undergraduate degree from UC Berkeley and her graduate degree in Chicago, she decided that she wanted to move back to the mountains and that Tahoe was the place she had found the best access to the outdoors.

She joined Achieve Tahoe as a member of the front desk staff in 2011. In 2018 Marina was promoted to Guest Services Manager. For several years she has led our team of friendly reservationists, coordinating group scheduling and outreach, and collaborating with the program staff to assist participants is accessing all the fun and challenging sports that Achieve Tahoe has to offer. Marina is excited to embark on her next chapter with Achieve Tahoe. She is passionate about sharing her love for the Tahoe area and the feelings of joy and freedom that come from participating in outdoor recreation.
