Legacy Giving

Leave a legacy of life-changing experiences for children and adults with disabilities and know that your gift will have an impact for generations to come. There are many ways that you can leave a legacy or long-term gift and meet your financial goals. We encourage you to consult a financial advisor to decide which options might be best for you.

Common legacy gifts include:

Leave a Gift to Achieve Tahoe in Your Will

You can leave Achieve Tahoe a specific dollar amount, a percentage, or a percentage of what is left after gifts to your loved ones and any expenses have been paid (residual estate). You can also leave assets such as securities, stocks, and bonds.

Name Achieve Tahoe as a Beneficiary on Your Retirement Plan or Life Insurance Policy

Add Achieve Tahoe as a beneficiary in your retirement account such as your IRA, 401k or other qualified plan, or on your life insurance policy. You can name Achieve Tahoe as a beneficiary of all or a percentage of your plan or policy. Inherited retirement plan assets usually require income tax be paid on them, so they are often considered to be the best assets to leave to nonprofit charities.

Charitable Gift Annuities

Give a charitable gift annuity of $10,000 or more if you are over 65 to receive a fixed annuity at a high rate and a tax-deduction all while supporting the important work Achieve Tahoe does. Other options include deferred gift annuities if you are under 65, and charitable remainder trusts. Contact your financial advisor to learn more about options and benefits.
