About

Located in beautiful North Lake Tahoe, at Alpine Meadows ski resort, Achieve Tahoe is a non-profit organization that leads the way in adaptive sports and recreation for people with disabilities. Our mission is to provide affordable inclusive physical and recreational activities that build health, confidence, and independence.  Founded in 1967, we are one of the leading adaptive snowsports programs, led by a professional, dedicated, and experienced staff. Currently we operate our snowsports programs at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Northstar, and Sugar Bowl Resorts.

Winter interns are involved in all aspects of our adaptive snowsports program. Off the hill, interns conduct outreach, fundraising, and other administrative projects. On the hill, interns learn how to teach adaptive snowsports and are encouraged to take the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) Alpine and Adaptive Level 1 exam. We encourage anyone with a focus (academic or otherwise) in recreation therapy, recreation management, adaptive physical education, outdoor leadership, health sciences, or other related fields to apply.
