On Friday, June 25th, we launched our hiking program on the paved Squaw Valley Trail. It was a beautiful, sunny Tahoe morning. The views of Squaw Valley and the surrounding mountains were incredible. The rain the day prior had made the landscape lush and green, and when we reached the meadow, the group paused to take in the scenery. We saw many wildflowers in full bloom including wild lupine, columbine, and dandelions. Some participants and volunteers especially enjoyed picking the dandelions and blowing the seeds in the wind, while others played red light green light, with some creative purple lights (dancing) and orange lights (walking like a crab) thrown in. All in all, Achieve Tahoe had a great time exploring the Squaw Valley Trail.
