Meet the 2022-2023 Interns!
Hometown: Bellingham, WA
After growing up between the ocean and the mountains of the Pacific Northwest, I moved to Breckenridge, Colorado where I spent a winter teaching skiing before pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at Colorado State University. At CSU, I majored in Health and Exercise Science with a Health Promotion emphasis. When I’m not schooling or skiing, you might find me out on the trails riding my mountain bike or hiking. I am thrilled to be back on snow in a new place, working with communities which inspire my passion for skiing and outdoor recreation.
Hometown: Fremont, CA
Before joining Achieve Tahoe, I studied Communication with a minor in Applied Psychology at the University of California Santa Barbara. I learned to three track with Achieve Tahoe some 18 years ago. Learning to ski was a vital step in my athletic career and a core building block for my confidence as an amputee. I’m very excited to expand my knowledge of adaptive sports and assist others in their journey of independence.
Hometown: San Jose, CA
I recently graduated college in May 2022, where I studied neuroscience and public health. In college, I was able to carry out research on a few topics, my favorite being looking into the efficacy of disability services on campus. I have played sports throughout my life, even competing with my collegiate lacrosse team over the past four years. Staying active and enjoying the outdoors has been a critical part of my health and well-being, and I cannot wait to be a part of providing a similar experience for other people.
Hometown: Madison, WI
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2021 with a French degree and certificates in African Studies and Health and the Humanities. After college, I began seasonal conservation and trailwork in California and Colorado, and hiked the Arizona Trail before joining the Achieve Tahoe team. I am passionate about increasing access and representation in the outdoors and can’t wait to work with some awesome people with Achieve!
